This week we sat down with Francesca, a London-based digital and lifestyle influencer whose content celebrates everyday rituals, travel, and the little things that make life feel exciting.
We asked her two simple questions: what makes her feel most alive, and what she thought of our kimchi.
At Cultured Collective, that idea of life is something we think about a lot. Fermented foods are living foods, constantly evolving, bubbling, transforming simple ingredients into something deeper and more flavourful over time. It’s a reminder that life itself is always moving and growing.
So we asked Francesca: what are three things that instantly make you feel more alive?

1. Start the day with a ritual
For Francesca, it’s the first sip of coffee in the morning.
“There’s just something about that first moment before the day really begins,” she says.
It’s quiet. Warm. A pause before everything speeds up. Whether it’s coffee, tea, or simply a few minutes to yourself, small rituals like this can completely change how the day begins.
Sometimes feeling alive starts with slowing down.

2. Step outside
Francesca’s second answer was simple: a long walk in the sunshine.
Fresh air, movement, and a little sunlight have a way of resetting everything. The rhythm of walking, the warmth of the sun, the feeling of being outside — it’s often the quickest way to shift your mood and reconnect with the present moment.
It’s a reminder that sometimes the best way to feel alive is simply to get outside and move.

3. Stay curious
Her final answer? Travelling somewhere new.
Whether it’s a new country, a different neighbourhood, or just trying something unfamiliar, discovery brings a spark of excitement that wakes up the senses.
New places, new flavours, new perspectives — curiosity keeps life interesting.
Because feeling alive often comes from experiencing something you haven’t before.
A Living Food Moment
We also asked Francesca what stood out most when she tried our kimchi.
“Loved the fizz. There’s just something about that.”
That gentle natural sparkle is a sign that the kimchi is alive and fermenting exactly as it should be, full of flavour and full of life.
And her favourite way to enjoy it?
In a bowl at lunch.
